Rozalina Busel from Belarus<\/strong>\u00a0and\u00a0Ruth Unger from Leipzig<\/strong> will be living and working together at the Keramikk\u00fcnstlerhaus as part of the \u00b0Ceramic Artist Exchange Tandem Program from\u00a0March 12th to April 30th<\/strong>!<\/p>\n\n\n\n

During their stay, visitors will have the opportunity to meet the artists: At the\u00a0Showing<\/strong>\u00a0on Tuesday, March 25th at 6 PM<\/strong>, Rozalina Busel and Ruth Unger will present deep insights into their work through a projector and share what inspires them artistically.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

On\u00a0Saturday, March 29th<\/strong>, the Keramikk\u00fcnstlerhaus will open its doors from\u00a010 AM to 5 PM<\/strong>\u00a0for an\u00a0Open Studio<\/strong>: Here visitors can observe the artists at work, engage in conversation, and hopefully enjoy a coffee in our garden if the weather is nice.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Additionally, on April 12th, Ruth Unger<\/strong> will lead a children\u2019s workshop<\/strong> inviting kids aged 8 and up to explore artistic ceramics \u2013 registration is possible via our email address.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

To conclude their stay in Neum\u00fcnster, the two artists will showcase their work: The\u00a0exhibition will open on Thursday, April 24th at 6 PM<\/strong>! During the opening, the artists will discuss their work and creative process in an Artist Talk.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Rozalina Busel <\/strong>(Belarus) explores borders and restrictions in her planned installation \u201cBORDERS AND RESTRICTION. ONE MORE BRICK\u201d<\/em>, inspired by mourning rituals and her own migration experience. Ceramic \u201ccoffin bricks\u201d \u2013 some mixed with ashes \u2013 and multimedia elements address physical and symbolic transitions. The objects, complemented by AI-generated floral motifs and sound recordings, engage with themes of loss, memory, and overcoming barriers.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Ruth Unger <\/strong>(Leipzig) explores the connection between identity and materiality in her project \u201cONE MASK. ONE DAY. IN CLAY.\u201d<\/em> Since 2020, she has been working on a series of mask sculptures that reflect everyday and universal experiences. At the Keramikk\u00fcnstlerhaus, she is creating 50 new ceramic masks, deliberately embracing incompleteness as a key element, adding a new conceptual dimension to the series.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
